Mama: Ach, Paula, du trägst schon wieder meine Schuhe! Wenn du damit ständig durch die Wohnung läufst, sind die Absätze bald schief.
Wir wollen jetzt Oma besuchen, zieh dich bitte an. Schau, hier sind deine Kniestrümpfe.
Paula: Ich möchte aber lieber meine Strumpfhose anziehen, Mama!
Mama: Ja gut, das geht auch. Aber sie gehört nicht auf den Kopf!
Paula: Und welche Schuhe soll ich anziehen? Oh Mama, darf ich meine Sandalen tragen?
Mama: Aber Paula, heute scheint die Sonne nicht!
Du kannst deine Stiefel anziehen. Oder besser: deine Gummistiefel, es regnet draußen. Schau, ich ziehe auch meine Gummistiefel an, dann können wir zusammen durch die Pfützen hüpfen.
Paula: Ich möchte aber lieber meine neuen grünen Schuhe anziehen! Die passen gut zu meiner Strumpfhose.
Mama: Paula, du machst mich wahnsinnig!
Brauchst du Hilfe mit den Schnürsenkeln?
Paula: Mama, das kann ich doch schon alleine!
Aber ich komme nicht in die Schuhe rein …
Mama: Hier, versuch es mit dem Schuhlöffel, das klappt bestimmt.
Jetzt komm, wir müssen los!
Paula: Okay Mama, ich bin gleich fertig!

Mama: Ja, die habe ich im Schrank gefunden. Schau mal, so kleine Füße hattest du als Baby.
Paula: Oh! Wirklich? Das kann ich mir gar nicht vorstellen … Wollen wir Oma die Socken zeigen?
Mama: Gute Idee, Paula! Los geht’s!

Mum: Oh, Paula, you’re wearing my shoes again! If you keep walking around the flat in them, the heels will wear down. We want to go to Grandma’s now, so get dressed, please. Look, here are your knee socks.
Paula: But I’d rather wear my tights, Mum!
Mum: Ok, that works too. But they don’t go on your head!
Paula: And which shoes should I wear? Oh, Mum, can I wear my sandals?
Mum: But Paula, there’s no sun today! You can wear your boots. Or better yet, your wellies, it’s raining outside. Look, I’ll wear my wellies too, then we can jump in puddles together.
