Ein Zeichen des Universums
Es ist ein heißer Nachmittag. Martina hat ihren Bikini angezogen und erholt sich am Planschbecken. Ralf sitzt in kurzen Hosen und Unterhemd im Schatten. Beide genießen die Stille.
Plötzlich hören sie ein Piepsen aus dem Haus. Ist es ein Vogel? Nein, die Waschmaschine ist fertig! Aber wer soll jetzt die Wäsche aufhängen? Keiner hat Lust. Aber Ralf hat eine Idee. Er zieht eine Münze aus seiner Hosentasche.
„Kopf oder Zahl?“, fragt er und wirft die Münze in die Luft.
„Zahl“, antwortet Martina … und sie gewinnt. „Perfekt“, murmelt sie, streckt die Beine ins Wasser und wackelt mit den Zehen.
„Was für eine blöde Idee!“, denkt Ralf. Lustlos holt er die Wäsche und beginnt mit der Arbeit. Zuerst hängt er den Badeanzug auf und dann einen Rock. Dabei fällt Ralfs Badehose auf den Boden. Kater Leo hat es sofort gesehen und stürzt sich darauf.
„Leo, lass das!“, zischt Ralf und will die Badehose nehmen. Zu langsam! Leo rennt mit der Beute kreuz und quer durch den Garten. Ralf läuft hinterher, aber er hat keine Chance.
„Leo gibt dir die Badehose erst zurück, wenn die Wäsche auf der Leine hängt", meint Martina.
Resigniert geht Ralf wieder an die Arbeit. Er hängt gerade seine Unterhose auf, da setzt sich ein kleiner Vogel auf die Wäscheleine. „Wie süß!“, denkt Ralf.
„Psst, schau mal!“, flüstert er Martina zu.
In diesem Moment macht der Vogel einen riesigen Klecks auf das T-Shirt unter sich und fliegt davon.
„Jetzt reicht’s mir aber!“, schimpft Ralf. Mit den Händen an den Hosenträgern steigt er trotzig ins Planschbecken: „Mach Platz! Ich brauche jetzt auch ein bisschen Wellness.“
Martina lacht: „Das Universum gibt dir ein Zeichen. Du sollst heute nicht arbeiten.“
Die Wäsche muss warten, Ralf und Martina relaxen den Rest des Nachmittags im Planschbecken. Und Kater Leo hat ein neues Lieblingsspielzeug.
Translation
A Sign from the Universe
It’s a hot afternoon. Martina has put on her bikini and is relaxing by the paddling pool. Ralf is sitting in the shade in his shorts and vest. They’re both enjoying the silence.
Suddenly, they hear a chirping coming from the house. Is it a bird? No, the washing machine is finished! But who’s going to hang the laundry out? Neither of them can be bothered. But Ralf has an idea. He takes a coin out of his trouser pocket.
“Heads or tails?” he asks and tosses the coin in the air.
“Tails,” answers Martina … and she wins. “Perfect,” she mumbles, stretching her legs into the water and wiggling her toes.
“What a stupid idea!“, Ralf thinks to himself. Listlessly, he grabs the laundry and gets to work. First, he hangs up the swimming costume and then a skirt. Ralf’s swimming trunks fall on the floor. Leo the cat sees them immediately and pounces.
“Leo, stop that!“ hisses Ralf and tries to take back the swimming trunks. Too slow! Leo runs across the garden with his prey. Ralf runs after him, but he doesn’t stand a chance.
“Leo will give you the swimming trunks back when the washing is on the line,” says Martina.
Resigned, Ralf goes back to work. He’s just hanging up his underwear when a little bird perches on the washing line. “How cute!” thinks Ralf.
“Shh, look!” he whispers to Martina.
In that moment, the bird deposits a huge splotch on the T-shirt below and flies away.
“That’s it!” grumbles Ralf. With his hands on his braces, he climbs defiantly into the paddling pool. “Move over! I need some relaxation too!”
Martina laughs. “The universe is giving you a sign. You shouldn’t do any work today.”
The laundry has to wait. Ralf and Martina spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the paddling pool. And Leo the cat has a new favourite toy.
