Fitness Class
Lisa goes to an aerobics class every Thursday. Her favourite is gymnastics. Her gymnastics teacher always has them do very difficult exercises. When everyone’s tired and sweaty, she shouts, “Arms above your head, just like that! Keep your hands in the air!”
At first, Lisa would always get sore muscles in her legs, especially in her thighs. But now she’s used to the hard exercises. Since she started, she’s also had less back pain. Sport is healthy, after all! And Lisa likes to stay fit.
Lars feels differently, though. He’d like to lose some weight – he thinks his stomach is too fat. But he really hates exercising. Brigitte also has difficulties with it. She finds it especially hard to bring her knee up to her chest. She doesn’t like stretching exercises at all. “Come on, don’t act like you’re tired! Let’s do laps of the gym. Remember to bring your heels right up to your bum when you run. Let’s go!”
By the time they’re done, everyone’s out of breath. Lars has sweat running down his forehead. Gymnastics class is over for today. And as always, the teacher is very pleased with her students.
