The German language has six verb tenses:present (Präsens), present perfect (Perfekt), past simple (Imperfekt/Präteritum), past perfect (Plusquamperfekt), future (Futur I) and future perfect (Futur II). The following list provides an overview of rules of regular and irregular verb conjugation in each of the various tenses.
